The brief
Four short stages: project type, starting point, goal and where to reply. These are the questions I would ask you anyway.
A short question, a site you want me to look at, or a file that does not belong in a form.
I usually reply within one working day.
What happens next
I reply personally, usually within one working day, with a considered next step. If the project is not one for me, I say so straight away and suggest where to look.
What holds either way
- The code and the accounts are yours. Repositories, access, the admin panel and the CMS are handed over at delivery.
- I sign an NDA. Projects under one are not shown in my work.
- A simple site takes one to three days, a larger one about two weeks, and an application seven days to six months depending on how many systems it has to touch.
- The quote comes in writing, once the scope is described and before anything starts.
